About Oana


Vedic scholars believe humans are born twice, "dvija": 

we are first born to a mother and a father, and then reborn into the realm of the spirit. Just like a bird first comes as an egg and then breaks out of shell into the world.

Oana was born and raised in Romania where she completed her studies before pursuing a finance career in New York and Canada.

In 2010 her life was transformed unexpectedly after she committed to a daily Ashtanga yoga practice.

Soon after, she found a strong desire to share the experience of physical, mental and spiritual well-being that had come to light on her yoga mat. 

Physically based now in Northern California, Oana teaches yoga asana, pranayama and meditation.

Oana is also a Certified Ayurvedic Health Practitioner with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.


Public, private, and corporate classes and Ayurvedic consultations are available in-person and online. 



Yoga Asana

Guided by her daily practice and influenced by a great lineage of teachers, Oana brings a sense of calm, love and kindness to her classes.


She teaches the fundamentals of yoga asana in a safe and comprehensive manner.


She honors her studens by meeting them where they are, yet always trying to provoke thoughts and encourage growth through careful challenge.

Meditation & Pranayama

Meditation and Pranayama (Breath Control) are approaches to training the mind, similar to how fitness is an approach to training the body.

Oana practices and teaches a combination of breathing, concentration and mindfulness techniques. The techniques used include but are not limited to mindfulness, zen, mantra, breath awareness and breath control, yoga nidra, vipassana, moving meditation.


The focus of Oana's Ayurvedic practice is diet and lifestyle.


She believes that what keeps each one of us healthy is unique and it depends on a delicate balance between mind, body & spirit. She works with clients to design and implement targeted treatment protocols consisting of diet, lifestyle, yoga, herbs, pranayama & meditation.

Oana offers Ayurvedic Detox Cleanses either privately or in a small-group setting.
